Suppressed Power and the Gift of Healing
All women are natural healers and all women are extremely powerful. We sometimes feel powerless when we are distracted from our true nature or bogged down by fear, stagnancy, and irritation. We need to recognize our power as a healing presence in the world and not only as a manipulative force for personal gain.
This workshop will use yoga asana, kinesiology, guided meditation, and hands-on healing to deepen mobility, align bone structure, ignite the core, and awaken self-awareness, self-knowing, and self-respect. The anatomical focus for this workshop is the sacrum and lungs, but the sequence is good for all hip, knee, ankle, foot, shoulder, and lower back pain. Coincidentally, it is a good pre-natal sequence for women in the first two trimesters who have been practicing yoga throughout their pregnancy. It will also tone the lungs as we move into cold and flu season. As always, variations on themes will be offered for individual needs. You will learn a simple healing technique for the lungs that can be applied to a loved one during times of physical sickness or emotional grief. Snacks, water, and tea will be available any time during the workshop. Please bring a yoga mat if you have one.
No experience necessary. Women of all ages and levels are encouraged to attend. We will do some partner work, so sign up with a friend or come ready to make a new one!
Saturday, 11.29, 4:00–7:00pm. $50 pre-registration suggested on the online schedule.
