A New Series Exploring Influential Thinkers
Inspiration is all around us. Many great ideas and solutions to the challenges we face today can be found within the writings and speeches of thinkers both contemporary and from the past.
These programs explore ideas that address first principles, or the core beliefs that shape the individual and society. Some examples include the concept of linear versus cyclical time, or treating illness from an allopathic versus holistic angle. We will also discuss how opposing concepts may be reconciled.
This month we will explore the world of myth with Joseph Campbell. The sacred activism of Thich Naht Hanh will follow in April. Future SNL presentations include J. Krishnamurti, Pema Chödron, Eckhart Tolle, and Ram Dass. Additional presentation suggestions from participants is welcomed and encouraged.
Next events: 3.31 & 4.21, 6:30–8:00pm (doors close at 6:45). $5.
