Experience acupuncture in a community setting on Sunday, 5.18, 4:00–6:00pm.
Whether this will be your first experience with acupuncture or your hundredth, the peaceful group setting is a great way to receive the benefits of this medicine. You may have a specific health concern you’d like to treat, or not. Everyone can benefit from acupuncture; it is a wonderful way to keep the body in balance, avoid injury, relieve stress, and boost the immune system.
What to Expect
You will receive your treatment in the comfort of the yoga room, along with others quietly being treated at the same time. The room will be dimly lit with candles and soothing music playing. You will be led to your mat, and bolstered with cushions and comfortable blankets to support you during your treatment. Catherine Zwergel, L.Ac. will speak with you briefly about your goals, and then your treatment will begin. Sink fully into the healing session for 30 minutes or more, if you wish.
Points on the scalp, ears, and below the elbows and knees will be used to treat the entire body, so there’s no need to undress; just remove your shoes and roll up your pants and sleeves (loose, comfortable clothing is advised). And yes, we can even address your back pain with points on the extremities.
Treatment fees will be based on an income-independent sliding scale of $15–40 (you decide what you can afford), with a flat one-time first visit consultation fee of $10.
