Join Luna for this amazing practice of deep relaxation. This workshop will begin with a short version of Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep) followed by brief discussion. A longer version will follow, and you’ll leave the class with a greater understanding and skills to continue this practice at home.
Yoga Nidra is a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping in which the body is completely relaxed. With guidance, the practitioner becomes increasingly aware of their inner-world. This state of consciousness is different from meditation in which concentration on a single focus is required. In Yoga Nidra, the practitioner remains in a state of sensory withdrawal, reducing stress and promoting deep relaxation.
Third Tuesday of the month beginning 9.18. 6:30–7:30pm. $14 or class pass, registration recommended.
